Ford Laser

Automobiles

The Laser was Ford's small car for Asia and the Pacific, a restyled twin of the Mazda Familia that Ford sold from 1981 until 2003 over five generations. Hatchback and sedan bodies were the core of the range, with convertible, wagon and pickup versions in some markets, and the sedan wore the Meteor name in Australia for several years. Ford held a quarter of Mazda from 1979, and the car sold best where Ford was seen as a local brand, Australia and New Zealand. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 5 generations: the KA/KB (1981 to 1984); the BF/KC/KE (1985 to 1988); the KF/KH (1989 to 1993); the KJ/KL/KM (1994 to 1998); the KN/KQ (1999 to 2003).
