Automobile Transport

Road transport by private passenger car, in which an individual or household owns or otherwise has personal use of a motor vehicle for door to door travel rather than relying on a shared or scheduled service. Automobile transport gives the traveler direct control over route, timing and destination in a way that fixed route modes such as bus or rail cannot match, and it has shaped the layout of modern cities and highway networks around the private car's need for parking, road capacity and fuel or charging infrastructure.
