1910 Ford Model T

Automobiles

Prices were down to 780 dollars by 1910, and after nearly 12,000 cars had been assembled Henry Ford moved production to the new Highland Park complex, the place where the Model T's assembly line system would take shape. The car itself was still in the early style, with the straight five sided hood and acetylene headlamps. Its ignition was unusual: a low voltage magneto built into the flywheel fed trembler coils, so that the car needed no starting battery.
