An automobile manufactured by the Ford Motor Company from 1908 to 1927. From 1913 it was built on a moving assembly line, cutting the labor time to build a car and, with it, the price, putting car ownership within reach of ordinary wage earners for the first time. Over 15 million were built, and it is widely credited with starting the mass automobile age in the United States.
