The Model N was introduced in 1906 as the successor to the Models A and C as the company's inexpensive, entry level line, built at the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant. The 15 horsepower straight four drove the rear wheels via a long shaft, and it was the first American car to use vanadium steel. At 500 dollars the car was viewed as highly affordable, and maroon was the only factory color. The Model N was a front engined four cylinder Ford built at the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant.
