Dodge is the brand that the brothers Horace and John Dodge started selling as a car in 1914, after years of supplying parts to Ford and Oldsmobile. Chrysler bought the company in 1928 and for most of the next century Dodge was Chrysler's middle priced and performance brand, covering the Dart, Coronet, Charger and Challenger, the Viper, the Caravan minivan, and a long line of pickups and vans. In 2010 and 2011 the truck line was split off as the separate Ram brand and the Viper moved to SRT. Pages here keep the Dodge badge of each year, so Ram trucks sold as Dodge before the split stay with Dodge.
