Exterior changes to the 1976 Monaco were minimal, but every model, police packages included, now used the former high series front panel with hidden headlights. Chrysler's Lean Burn system, meant to cut exhaust emissions, was introduced on the 400 cubic inch engine only. With the four door hardtop gone after 1975, body style choices narrowed. The 1976 car was the last of the full size C body Monacos under that name before the Royal Monaco of 1977.
