A hardtop joined the pillared coupe for 1969, and the front and rear were revised with a squeezed look around the headlights and new horizontal taillights. An air induction hood with forward facing scoops became available, matching the Road Runner's Coyote Duster, and a six pack version of the 440 with three two barrel carburetors was added at mid year at 390 horsepower. Production was about 27,800.
