The Super Bee arrived for 1968 after the Road Runner proved a hit, and Dodge's general manager asked for a similar car. It was sold only as a two door coupe and used the Charger's dash cluster, a Hurst shifter, a heavy duty suspension and a bee stripe around the tail. The base engine was the 335 horsepower 383 Magnum and the 426 Hemi was the other choice, taken by 125 buyers at a 33 percent higher price.
