The 1975 Charger built on the sales rise of 1974 by moving to personal luxury, and shared its body on the B platform with the new Chrysler Cordoba. The Charger SE was the only model offered, with the 318 small block, three versions of the 400 big block and the 360 two barrel as the standard engine. The squared body forced NASCAR teams to keep using 1974 sheet metal for race cars. It was the first year of the fourth generation, with the SE as the only model.
