Holden

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Holden was the Australian car brand of General Motors, the company that began as a saddlery in Adelaide in 1856, moved into car bodies in 1898 and became a General Motors subsidiary in 1931. It built its own models such as the Commodore, the Torana and the Holden Ute, and also sold badge engineered versions of cars from Nissan, Suzuki, Toyota, Isuzu, Opel, Vauxhall and Chevrolet. In its last three years it only imported vehicles, it ceased trading at the end of 2020, and General Motors retired the marque after announcing so in February 2020. The brand is defunct, and its models, generations and model years stay on this site with a link back to this page.
