The TX Gemini was introduced in February 1975 as a four door sedan in S and SL specification levels and as a two door SL coupe, built at Holden's Acacia Ridge plant. All TX models share the same 1.6 liter SOHC Isuzu engine, and the TX SL sedan was voted Wheels Car of the Year for 1975 and was the most popular four cylinder car on the Australian market. The Gemini came to the Australian market in 1975 as the Holden version of the Isuzu car.
