The RB Gemini was offered only in four door sedan form, with SL X and SL E trim levels and a fleet only SL with a 1.6 liter engine. The RB Gemini was notable for its 80 day, 200,000 kilometer endurance run from a commercial in 1985, tested by a group of Australian racers including the late Peter Brock. It began production at the Holden Elizabeth plant after the Acacia Ridge plant closed. The 1985 Gemini was the first of the front wheel drive generation.
