Mazda3

The Mazda3 is Mazda's compact car, sold since 2003 as a hatchback and a sedan and called the Axela in Japan until 2019. It replaced the Familia, also known as the 323 or Protege, and has gone through four generations, the first two on the Ford C1 platform and the later two on Mazda's own Skyactiv architecture. By January 2019 it had sold more than six million cars, and it is built in Japan, Mexico, Thailand, China and other countries. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 4 generations: the first generation (2003 to 2008); the second generation (2009 to 2012); the third generation (2013 to 2018); the fourth generation (2019 to 2025).
