For the 2015 model year in North America the 2.5 liter cars were also offered with a manual gearbox, and the trim levels in the United States were SV, Sport, Touring and Grand Touring. In Europe there were three Skyactiv-G petrol engines and a 2.2 liter Skyactiv-D diesel. The Canadian magazine The Car Guide named the Mazda3 its Best Compact Car for 2015, and locally assembled cars went on sale in Malaysia in April 2015.
