Ford is the mainstream brand of Ford Motor Company, the name carried by the company's everyday cars, pickups, SUVs and vans from the Model T of 1908 to the F-Series trucks and the Mustang of today. The brand began with the company itself in 1903 and is sold in nearly every major market, where regional subsidiaries and joint ventures in Europe, Australia, Brazil, China, Thailand and Turkey have built many of its models. The brand is separate from the company that owns it: Lincoln has been the luxury brand since 1922, Mercury filled the middle of the range from 1939 until 2011, and Edsel was a short lived experiment from 1958 to 1960. Every Ford model, generation and model year has its own page on this site, and each of them links back to this brand page.
