Between 1937 and 1939 the Eifel was also assembled in Hungary and Denmark, as well as in Cologne, so the car of 1939 was built in three countries. It was a car with a 1172 cc side valve engine, derived from the Model C and related to the British Ford Prefect and Anglia. It was named after a mountain range in western Germany, and it made up over half of the Cologne output. The Eifel was a small German Ford based on the British Model C, assembled in Cologne and elsewhere.
