1939 Ford 7Y Eight

Automobiles

A minor facelift of the 7Y, unveiled in September 1939, resulted in the first Anglia. For 1939 the 7Y tourer was replaced by the 8 hp E94A Roadster, with the same front styling, engine and 90 inch wheelbase but different rear panels, which was produced only for that model year. It led to the first Anglia, which came from its September 1939 facelift. The 7Y was a small British Ford sold as the Ford Eight, a rebodied and slightly larger Model Y.
