Ford Ranger (Americas)

Automobiles

The Ranger is Ford's pickup truck of the Americas, introduced in early 1982 for the 1983 model year to replace the Mazda built Courier. It was the best selling compact truck in the United States from 1987 to 2004, was retired in North America after 2012 and returned for 2019 as a mid size truck developed from the global T6. Mazda sold a rebadged version as the B Series from 1994, and Ford of Argentina built a South American version from 1996. The T6 sold elsewhere has its own page. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 5 generations: the first generation (1983 to 1992); the second generation (1993 to 1997); the third generation (1998 to 2012); the fourth generation (2019 to 2023); the fifth generation (2024 to 2026).
