1985 Ford Ranger (Americas)

Automobiles

The Ranger STX was introduced in 1985 for Ranger 4x4s on the West Coast of the United States, becoming fully available for 1986. For 1985 the five speed manual became the standard transmission, with a four speed automatic offered on non diesel Rangers. The interior saw few major revisions from 1983 to 1988, and the Ranger was competing with the Chevrolet S-10 and GMC S-15. The Ranger competed as a close rival to the Chevrolet S-10.
