Sigma was a model name that Mitsubishi used from 1976 to 1996, first on the Galant sedan, which carried the Sigma badge in Japan from 1976 to 1987 over three generations, and was sold as the Chrysler Sigma and the Mitsubishi Sigma in Australia and as the Sigma in New Zealand, and in North America as the Galant Sigma and Sigma. From 1991 to 1996 it named a pillared six window sedan version of the first generation Diamante sold in Japan and Europe, which led to the Australian Magna. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 4 generations: the third generation Galant Sigma (1976 to 1979); the fourth generation Galant Sigma (1980 to 1982); the fifth generation Galant Sigma (1983 to 1990); the Diamante based Sigma (1991 to 1996).
