Vauxhall

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Vauxhall is the British car company that began in 1857 as a pump and marine engine maker, started building cars in 1903 and was a luxury marque until General Motors bought it in 1925. Under General Motors it moved to mid market cars, it formed with Opel the core of General Motors' European business, and since about 1980 almost all Vauxhall cars have been the same as Opel models, engineered mainly in Germany. PSA Group bought Vauxhall in 2017 and it passed to Stellantis in 2021. Its commercial vehicles were once sold as Bedford. Every Vauxhall model, generation and model year on this site links back to this brand page.
