The HB Viva was announced in September 1966, a larger car than the HA with coke bottle styling, modelled after American General Motors models such as the Chevrolet Impala and Caprice, and a solely Vauxhall design. Opel had also developed the equivalent Opel Kadett B with no platform sharing, unlike the previous generation, and the automatic Viva HB was offered from February 1967. This page belongs to the Vauxhall Viva model on its Vauxhall make page, and it links to the generation and the neighbouring model years so that the whole run of the model can be followed in order.
