1982 Vauxhall Astra

Automobiles

The Opel Kadett lineup was limited by 1982 to the well equipped five door Berlina and the sporty 1.6 SR, as General Motors had begun to merge the previously separate Vauxhall and Opel dealer networks. UK production at Ellesmere Port had started on 16 November 1981, and in October 1982 a version using the body of the three door estate, with no rear seat, was presented as a van. The 1982 Astra was the third model year of the car.
