From 2006 the TwinTop two door coupe convertible was available in the Vauxhall Astra range, having already been a variant on the Tigra. The petrol models included naturally aspirated 1.4, 1.6 and 1.8 liter options as well as 1.6 or 2.0 liter turbocharged variants, and the diesel models included 1.3, 1.7 and 1.9 liter turbodiesels. After 2004 Vauxhall had retired the Astra Coupe. The TwinTop was new in 2006.
