The Nova was the compact Chevrolet. It began as the Chevy II in 1962 on the GM X platform, carried the Nova name alone from 1969, was rebadged as the Buick Apollo, Pontiac Ventura and Oldsmobile Omega, and returned in 1985 to 1988 as a small front wheel drive car built at NUMMI. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 5 generations: the first generation, Chevy II, 1962 to 1965 (1962 to 1965); the second generation, 1966 to 1967 (1966 to 1967); the third generation, 1968 to 1974 (1968 to 1974); the fourth generation, 1975 to 1979 (1975 to 1979); the fifth generation, 1985 to 1988 (1985 to 1988).
