For 1976 the Nova LN was rebranded Concours to rival the Ford Granada and Mercury Monarch, and like other 1976 Novas it came in coupe, hatchback coupe and four door sedan. Engines were a 105 horsepower inline six, a 165 horsepower 350 V8 or a 140 horsepower 305 V8. After testing the 1976 Nova the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department placed the largest order for compact police cars ever seen in the United States.
