The Plymouth Savoy was named after the Savoy Hotel in London, like the Plaza and Belvedere, and over 1951 to 1964 it moved from a trim package on the base Suburban station wagon to Plymouth's mid level car in 1954 and then to its entry level full size car from 1959, popular with taxi companies and police. It dropped out of the United States line after 1964 but continued in Canada through 1965. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 5 generations: the Suburban trim (1951 to 1953); the mid level 1954 to 1956 (1954 to 1956); the 1957 to 1959 (1957 to 1959); the 1960 to 1961 (1960 to 1961); the 1962 to 1964 (1962 to 1964).
