For the 1957 and 1958 model years the Savoy line added a four door hardtop sedan, so the 1958 Savoy was offered with that extra body style in a year when Plymouth's entry level Plaza offered buyers the widest choice of options to date. The Savoy was still the middle full size Plymouth, named after the Savoy Hotel in London, and it was the last year before it moved down to the entry position, when Plymouth dropped the Plaza for 1959.
