In 1957 the Savoy was an upscale trim of the Suburban station wagon, and for 1957 and 1958 the line added a four door hardtop sedan. In 1959 Plymouth dropped the Plaza and made the Savoy the entry level full size Plymouth, dropping the two hardtop models, the side trim and the interior appointments, and it sold well to taxicab companies, police departments and other fleet customers. Its model years run from 1957 to 1959.
