Plymouth models were restyled in 1960, and the Savoy carried on as the entry level full size car, with a new Taxi Special model spun off from it by 1960 for fleet buyers. The 1961 styling was widely considered ugly, mostly because of the odd chromed eyelashes on the front, a look that did not help the entry level Plymouth in that year, though sales to taxi companies and police departments were not hurt. Its model years run from 1960 to 1961.
