Ford Custom

Automobiles

The Ford Custom was an automobile Ford built for American, Canadian and Australian buyers during three separate spans between 1949 and 1981. The nameplate was the top trim of the 1949 Ford range, then became the base Ford in 1957 and 1958 and again from 1964, mostly sold to police and taxi fleets, with the better trimmed Custom 300 and Custom 500 series above it. Canadian customers could still buy the Custom 500 through 1981. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 3 generations: the Custom and Custom Deluxe (1949 to 1951); the Custom and Custom 300 (1957 to 1959); the Custom and Custom 500 (1964 to 1981).
