The Custom Deluxe of 1951 was the top trim level of Ford's automobile range with a 114 inch wheelbase, in its last year before being renamed the Customline for 1952, when it moved to the midrange position between the new Mainline and Crestline models. A coupe utility variant was also offered by Ford Australia, later as the Ford De Luxe Coupe Utility. The Country Squire station wagon was based on the Custom Deluxe. The Custom served Ford as a fleet and economy nameplate.
