Subaru Forester

The Forester is Subaru's compact crossover SUV, on sale since 1997 after showing as the Streega concept at the 1995 Tokyo Motor Show. It has had six generations, always with a boxer engine and all wheel drive. General Motors sold the second generation as the Chevrolet Forester in India from 2003 to 2007. From the 2026 model year the Forester for the United States is built at Subaru of Indiana Automotive in Lafayette.
