Mitsubishi Mirage

The Mirage was Mitsubishi's entry level subcompact hatchback from 1978 to 2003 and again from 2012 to 2024, sold in different markets as the Colt, the Dodge Colt, the Plymouth Champ, the Eagle Summit and the Space Star. Its sedan and wagon versions were sold as the Lancer. Mitsubishi launched it in March 1978 in response to the oil crisis of 1973, and revived the name in 2012 for the car that replaced the Colt.
