1987 Mitsubishi Mirage

Automobiles

The second generation Mirage hatchback was replaced in October 1987, and the sedans in January 1988. Proton would later spin the Saga off into its own five door hatchback called the Saga Aeroback in 1987, longer and styled differently from Mitsubishi's own five door hatchback. The third generation Mirage was introduced to Japan in October 1987, more rounded than before. The Mirage hatchback models of 1978 to 2003 were classed as subcompact cars, while the sedan and wagon, sold as the Lancer, were compact.
