For the 1994 model year Mitsubishi introduced a driver's airbag in North America, the LS sedan lost its optional anti lock brakes and the LS coupe gained the 1.8 liter engine. The 1994 model year was the last year of retail sales for Mirage sedans, which became limited to fleets, and for the Dodge and Plymouth Colts altogether. Malaysian manufacture of the Satria began in 1994. The coupe of 1991 fitted in with the subcompact range.
