Ford Galaxie

Automobiles

The Ford Galaxie was a full size Ford sold in North America from the 1959 to the 1974 model years, named for the excitement of the Space Race. It was offered across four generations as a sedan, hardtop and convertible, competed with the Chevrolet Impala and Plymouth Fury, and was also built locally by Ford Australia and Ford Brasil from the 1965 design. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 4 generations: the first generation, 1959 (1959 model year); the second generation, 1960 to 1964 (1960 to 1964 model years); the third generation, 1965 to 1968 (1965 to 1968 model years); the fourth generation, 1969 to 1974 (1969 to 1974 model years).
