Ford Expedition

Automobiles

The Expedition is Ford's full size SUV, a truck based five door wagon that replaced the Bronco after the 1996 model year and has shared its underpinnings with the F-150 and the Lincoln Navigator. Five generations have followed, from the 1997 original through the independent suspension second generation to the fifth generation revealed in 2024, with extended length EL and Max versions from 2007. It has been built at Wayne, Michigan, and then at the Kentucky Truck plant in Louisville. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 5 generations: the first generation, UN93 (1997 to 2002); the second generation, U222 (2003 to 2006); the third generation, U324 (2007 to 2017); the fourth generation, U553 (2018 to 2024); the fifth generation (2025 to 2026).
