For the 2008 model year power deployable running boards became available along with a rearview camera, and the Expedition King Ranch was reintroduced after being absent from the 2007 trim line up. The XLT got body colored lower bodywork in place of black plastic trim, and 2008 was the last year first row bench seating was available. A Funkmaster Flex special edition, limited to 650 units, went on sale in fall 2007.
