Jeep

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Jeep is the off-road vehicle brand that grew out of the World War II Army reconnaissance car built by Willys-Overland and Ford. Willys put civilian Jeeps on sale from 1945, and the brand then passed to Kaiser in 1953, to American Motors in 1970, and to Chrysler in 1987, and on to Daimler, Cerberus, Fiat and Stellantis. Its range runs from the CJ and Wrangler through the Wagoneer, which many credit with starting the luxury SUV, to the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Compass and Renegade, plus pickups such as the Gladiator. This site keeps each Jeep model, generation and model year on its own page.
