2000 Jeep Cherokee

Both the four and six cylinder engines were offered through the 2000 model year, and in 2000 and 2001 all six cylinder XJs received a distributorless ignition system with coil on plug ignition. The Classic trim was dropped after the 2000 model year. The Classic trim was dropped after the 2000 model year, and the Sport and Limited continued, with all six cylinder engines having a distributorless ignition system.
