Mitsubishi Fuso

Vehicle and Equipment Manufacturers

Mitsubishi Fuso, usually called Fuso, is a Japanese manufacturer of trucks and buses headquartered in Kawasaki, Kanagawa. The brand goes back to the first Fuso bus, built at the Kobe works of Mitsubishi Shipbuilding in 1932, and the present company became independent in 2003 when Mitsubishi Motors spun off its truck and bus division. In 2005 Mitsubishi Motors transferred its shares to DaimlerChrysler as compensation for quality and recall problems, which left DaimlerChrysler with 89 percent, and Fuso was later a subsidiary of Daimler Truck. In 2026 it merged with Hino Motors and became a subsidiary of the new Archion holding company.
