Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa, also simply the Mitsubishi Rosa, is a Japanese minibus based on the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter and built by Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation. It was launched in 1960 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and is now in its fifth generation, the BE7. In 1964 three companies merged into a new Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and the Rosa became a Mitsubishi Fuso product, replacing the Fuso MB720 minibus in 1966. The first generation, coded B10 and developed from the chassis of the Jupiter T10 truck, was about 5.4 metres long with a body similar to the Mercedes-Benz O 319. The second generation of 1973 revised the front and shared many parts with Mitsubishi trucks, and the third, the BE4 of June 1986, took a cab-forward shape with seating for 26 to 29 and 4D3-series inline-four diesel engines, a five-speed manual and later an automatic, and from 1990 a four-wheel-drive long body. Its competitors include the Isuzu Journey, Nissan Civilian and Toyota Coaster.
