The first-generation Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa, coded B10, was the minibus Mitsubishi officially launched in 1960 as the start of the Rosa line, developed from the chassis of the original Mitsubishi Jupiter T10 truck. Its body style was similar to the Mercedes-Benz O 319 minibus and it was about 5.4 metres long. In 1961 Mitsubishi developed the B20 from the B10, an extended version ranging from 6.25 to 7 metres in length. The generation ran until 1973, when the second generation arrived with a heavily revised front. The Rosa was at this stage a product of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and only in 1966, after a 1964 merger of three companies into a new Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, did it become a Mitsubishi Fuso product that replaced the Fuso MB720 minibus.
