The Mitsubishi Fuso Aero King was a series of heavy-duty double-decker coaches built by Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation. It was introduced at the 1983 Tokyo Motor Show, went on sale in 1984 and was discontinued in 2010 after five generations. It was built either as a complete integral bus or as a bus chassis that took a separate body. The model codes ran from the P-MU515TA and P-MU525TA of 1984 through the U-MU525TA of 1990, the KC-MU612TA of 1995 and the MU612TX of 2000 to the BKG-MU66JS of 2008. Three engines are named for the line: the 8DC9 turbocharged V-8 of 380 PS used from 1984 to 1995, the 8M21-3 naturally aspirated V-8 of 420 or 430 PS used from 1995 to 2005, and the 6M70-T4 turbocharged six-cylinder of 420 PS used from 2008 to 2010. The Aero Queen W coach chassis of the Aero Bus family was based on the Aero King double-decker.
