Maserati is an Italian luxury car marque, established on 1 December 1914 in Bologna by the Maserati brothers, with its headquarters now in Modena. Its emblem is a trident, designed by Mario Maserati from Neptune's trident on the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna's Piazza Maggiore. After building Grand Prix cars for Diatto, the brothers founded the marque in 1926 and began racing with 4, 6, 8 and 16 cylinder cars. Ownership later passed through the Orsi family, Citroën, Alejandro de Tomaso and Fiat, and the company has belonged to Stellantis since 2021. Its range includes the MC20 mid-engined sports car, the Grecale crossover and the GranTurismo grand tourer, and in 2022 it announced electric Folgore versions of all its models.
