The Maserati Levante is an executive crossover SUV, built by Maserati at the Mirafiori factory in Turin from 2016 until production ended in 2024. Designated Tipo M161, it was shown to the public at the Geneva Motor Show on 1 March 2016 and drew its design from the Kubang concept car of 2011. It began with a Ferrari-built 3.0 litre V6 in two states of tune alongside a diesel, and later gained V8 Trofeo and GTS versions with up to 590 PS. It has four-wheel drive only, an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox taken from the sixth generation Quattroporte, and a drag coefficient of 0.33. The name refers to a warm easterly Mediterranean wind.
