The Maserati GranTurismo is a series of grand tourers, with a GranCabrio convertible version, that succeeded the Maserati Coupé and Spyder. The first generation, the M145, was unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show and built until December 2019, going from design to production in nine months, a record. It used a 4.2 litre V8 developed with Ferrari, later joined by a 4.7 litre version in the S model, and 28,805 coupés were built. The GranCabrio was shown at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The second generation, the M189, was revealed in 2022 and began production in April 2023, with a 3.0 litre Nettuno twin-turbo V6 in the Modena and Trofeo models and a battery electric Folgore version with a range of 450 km.
