Maserati Ghibli is the name of three different Maserati cars, taken from the Libyan Arabic word for the hot, dry south-westerly wind of the Libyan Desert. The AM115 was a V8 grand tourer built from 1967 to 1973. It was first shown as a two-seater concept at the November 1966 Turin Motor Show with a body by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Ghia, and it had a 4.7 litre V8, a top speed of 250 km/h, later a Spyder and a 4.9 litre SS version. In all, 1,170 coupés and 125 Spyders were made. The AM336 was a twin-turbocharged V6 coupé built from 1992 to 1998, and the M157 was an executive saloon built from 2013 to 2023.
